Project Description:
12 Once a month general pest control service (building interior) to include at minimum
control of ants, roaches, centipedes, millipedes, weevils and silverfish.
12 Once a month monitoring and maintenance of the Rodent Control service (building
exterior and interior)to include at minimum control of mice and rats. To include
initial set up of minimum 24 bait stations and 10 internal bait stations.
12 Servicing and clean out of 19 bug zappers/electronic bug device.

Special Instructions
1. Pest control services for 33,000 sq ft facility which includes 12,000 sq ft of food
processing areas.
2. Start of service to begin within one(1) week of award of bid.
3. One year (monthly service) for pest eradication and prevention services

4. ALL bidders must attend a MANDATORY site walk-through on Wednesday 2/04/2026, 10am-
11 am. Please email Roden Tauyan (rtauyan@hawaii.edu) prior to the walk-through if you
plan to attend.
5. Exact service date and time of all services must be able to be scheduled at minimum
one
(1)week in advance.
6. Provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and insurance necessary to perform all
required pest prevention.
7. Restricted use pesticides are not permitted for use on campus.
8. Pest Control provider shall have an on-island facility.
9. Technician must provide a written report (hard copy, electronic, or both) to the
WVAPDC
Facility Manager (or designated proxy) following each service. Report must include
pesticides or other chemicals used, locations pesticides or chemicals were applied,
quantity and trap location of rodents captured, any additional outstanding findings.
10. Bidders must have experience servicing a food processing facility (food manufacturing
preferred; food service, teaching kitchen, or similar accepted).
11. If there are infestation problems, buyer is requesting vendor to provide service
until
problem is eliminated and safe.
12. Vendor must be flexible and able to respond to any situation that may arise within a
24 hour period.
13. Vendors must include all fees, initial setup for rodent bait stations, chemical
costs,
labor costs, material costs, and all additional costs to be
inclusive in their final bid.
14. Awarded Vendor will be subject to contract renewal for the following year (no more
than three years in a row), based on effectiveness, service, and overall 100% Customer
satisfaction.
Location:
The Wahiawa Value-Added Product Development Center consists of five commercial kitchens,
dish washing room, food processing room, packaging rooms, HPP room, event loft, upper
mezzanine, storage facilities, loading dock, offices, student lounge, and parking lot. We
would like a company to come in and be able to eradicate any type of pest or rodent
problem, but most
of all be able to properly maintain our facilities.

VENDOR COMPLIANCE:
Vendor must be Vendor Compliant per the Hawaii Compliance Express website at
https://vendors.ehawaii.gov/hce/
- Vendor must present certificate of compliance at time of award or bid will be void.
- Must comply with the UH Purchase Order Terms and Condition(see attached)
- Award(s) will be made to the most qualified bid.
- Quote price must be valid for a minimum of 60 days.
- Price quotation must include all applicable taxes, freight, delivery, assembly and
handling charges.
- Approved equivalent and substitutions accepted, we reserve the right to determine
equivalency.
- Vendor must be able to provide Certificate of Insurance with $1,000,000 minimum
coverage
at time of Purchase Order acceptance.
