Project Description: Remove old broken AHU and replace with new Daikin ceiling Air Handling Unit
compatible with current existing system. Work to include the recovery of all
refrigerant from system. Disconnection & replacement of all electrical and
refrigerant lines with new lines. Reconnection of electrical and refrigerant lines.
Pressure test and leak test. Charge system refrigerant to appropriate levels and test
run to ensure proper operation.
Special Instructions
To provide transportation, parts, labor & equipment to remove and replace ceiling broken
Air Handling Unit located in the nursing lab portable unit.
Nursing lab portable unit is located at 79-1019 Haukapila Street, Kealakekua, HI 96750
below the Kona Community Hospital.
Price quotation must include all taxes, shipping, assembly and handling charges delivered
FOB destination: Hawaii Community College Nursing Lab Portable located in Kealakekua.
Damages incurred during shipment, assembly and/or delivery of goods will be the
responsibility of the vendor.
Items must be new with ManufactureraEURtms standard warranty. Used and/or refurbished
equipment will not be accepted. ManufactureraEURtms warranty information must be
provided.
Award is subject to availability of funds.
The Hawaii General Excise Tax (GET) shall not exceed 4.712% for Hawaii Island. The GET is
not applied to shipping or delivery charges.
All requisitioner inquiries to the bidders shall be answered within 24 hours. If
inquiries are not answered within 24 hours, the requisitioner reserves the right to award
the next lowest bidder.
Upon award of the request for quotation, the winning bidder must be able to provide a
Certificate of Vendor Compliance (under HRS 103-310, for purchase of $2,500 or more, the
University of Hawaii must verify vendor compliance with all laws governing entities doing
business in the State of Hawaii). For information relating to registering and obtaining

Vendor must comply with Chapter 104 requirements and provide required reports at
completion of work.
Should the bidder require any of the following, their bid may be disqualified. (1) Taking
exception to any of the specifications, terms, or conditions contained in the RFQ or UH
Purchase Order. (2) Placing condition on the furnishing of the items offered;(3) Inclusion
of a quotation or order form containing additional specifications, terms, or conditions.
Purchaser reserves the right to reduce or delete specific items to maintain budget limits.
