Project Description: Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment and materials to perform all work related to: Demolishing and disposing of all furniture, room finishes, areas of concrete slab, plumbing sanitary/waste lines, and plumbing supply/feed lines Installing new plumbing supply/feed lines, new plumbing sanitary/waste lines, Replacing sections of 8” thick reinforced concrete slabs Installing new partition and chase walls, bathroom furniture, and room finishes in one (1) first floor interior module of bathrooms in Building 1787. The interior module contains four (4) bathrooms, which are separated by an approximately 8” thick CMU wall and another approximately 2’ thick chase wall. The four bathrooms are approximately 9’x6’ in size. The location of the interior module of bathrooms to be renovated is shown in the attachment titled YCA Kalaeloa First Floor Quad Bathroom Upgrades-Interior Module Location. In each bathroom, the Contractor shall first demolish and dispose of all furniture, which includes a wall mounted lavatory, an 18”x24” mirror with an attached shelf, a 3’ x4’x 7’-4” shower, and a water closet. Ceramic tiles, concrete, drywall, wood, and other materials may be encountered. Once all furniture is demolished, the Contractor shall then demolish and dispose of all required areas of concrete necessary to locate, expose, and identify all plumbing lines. For each bathroom, the Contractor shall demolish and dispose of all sanitary lines out and water/supply lines in, which may include P-traps, waste, hot water, cold water, risers, vent, and all other branches of the gravity-fed drain line system. After all demo work is complete, the Contractor shall replace all the bathroom plumbing by installing new Schedule 80 PVC for all sanitary/waste lines out and new Copper for all water/supply lines in. Contractor shall then repair the existing concrete slab in the bathrooms by installing a combination of soil, base course, mortar under a new 8” thick reinforced concrete foundation in all missing sections. Once all AT GRADE and BELOW GRADE work is completed and accepted, the Contractor shall install new partition walls where there are no CMU walls, new bathroom furniture (lavatory, mirror with attached shelf, approximately 3’x4’x7’4” shower, water closet, etc.), and new sheet vinyl flooring in each bathroom. The Contractor shall verify locations of installation (plumbing, concrete, furniture, flooring, etc.), with the owner, prior to the start of any work, throughout the duration of this project.
