Bid Date: 2026-10-19
Project Description:
One (1) Laboratory Water Purification System
The system must:
(1) Accept municipal tap water as a water source.
(2) Produce ultrapure water on demand with the following specifications
(a) Production capacity: at least 50 L in one eight-hour shift, with at least 20 L
available on demand when any internal or connected reservoir is full.
(b) Dispense flow rate: at least 1 L/min*.
(3) Have variable dispense flow rates.
(4) Have capacity for internal monitoring of production water quality and alerting
users when monitored values fall below setpoints.
(5) Have leak detection capability and an audible alarm that sounds when a leak is
detected; automatically interrupt feed water when a leak is detected.
(6) Utilize only user-serviceable consumables able to be exchanged in either a
toolless manner or with provided tools.
(7) Have a modular construction allowing for the dispenser to be located up to 3 m
distant from the rest of the purification system.
(8) Have capacity for volumetric dispensing with user-adjustable volumes.
(9) Be compatible with normal US electrical wall power (120VAC) and feature
grounding.
*Ultrapure Water is defined as meeting ASTM standards for “Type I” water, with
resistivity of 18.2 MΩ cm, total
organic carbon content of <50 ppb, sodium and chloride content of <1 ppb, and silica
content of <3 ppb.
