Project Description:
The State of Hawai‘i Department of Health (DOH) requests quotes for the purchase, delivery, and installation of SAFCO 4-Post Exact Shelving Systems on Mobile 1000 and Kwik-Track platforms for the Vital Records storage of its’ collection of books or comparable system.

Due date for installation of shelving system shall be September 30, 2026.

The contract end date will cover payment, and closing of the project, thus, OHSM changed the contract period to October 31, 2026. The purchase and installation is September 30, 2026. Please make note that your organization shall be Hawaii Express Compliant upon award. Thank you for your interest.

Issues of concern:
1. Dust: Per the General Manager there should be very little dusk, just make sure that you bring a vacuum to clean up the area.
2. No need to do a tone scan - no electrical or plumbing in the concrete.
3. Carpeting will be installed, so you will need to pull up the affected carpeting as needed, and restore when the job is completed.
4. No extension to deadline of September 30, 2026 installation and ready to use.
5. Floor anchors are required for installation.
6. No noise requirement for the building.
7. DEADLINE remains August 31, 2026, 4:00 p.m.

Date of Installation shall be done as soon as possible. The vendor shall state the date installation will occur.

The question period has closed. All Hawaii Building codes shall be observed by the vendor and adjustments to the proposed drawings shall be made accordingly. No change to the deadline. The deadline is Monday, August 31, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time.
