Project Description:
(Qty 103) Annual inspection and routine maintenance of portable fire extinguisher located throughout HIMB/Moku o Lo\'e. Vendor shall provide a unit price per extinguisher. Final payment will be based on the actual quantity serviced.

Special Instructions
The Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology (HIMB) is requesting quotations from qualified contractors to provide on-site annual inspection and maintenance services for approximately one hundred three (103) portable fire extinguishers located throughout HIMB/Moku o Lo\'e (46-007 Lilipuna Road, Kaneohe, HI 96744).

All annual inspection and routine maintenance services shall be performed on-site at HIMB. Fire extinguishers are located throughout the island in laboratories, offices, classrooms, residences, maintenance and storage areas, exterior locations, and HIMB vessels. Any extinguishers that must be removed from the island for additional testing, maintenance, or repair shall require prior authorization from HIMB.

The Contractor shall:

1. Inspect and perform required annual maintenance/inspection on each available fire extinguisher
2. Verify the condition, accessibility, pressure, safety seal, hose/nozzle, operating components, physical condition, manufacture date, and previous maintenance and hydrostatic- test information for each extinguisher, as applicable.
3. Properly tag or label each extinguisher that has successfully completed the required annual service.
4. Identify extinguishers requiring additional service, including recharge, six-year internal maintenance, hydrostatic testing, repair, replacement, or removal from service.
5. Provide HIMB with a written final inspection report identifying, at minimum:
- Each extinguisher inspected
- Extinguisher type and size
- Location
- Inspection or service performed
- Pass/fail or service status
- Any deficiencies found; and recommend corrective actions

The contractor must provide all labor, tools, equipment, service tags, transportation, and other materials necessary to complete the work at HIMB/Moku o Lo’e.
