Project Description:
Provide all labor necessary to replace the boiler water circulating pumps and as
indicated in the plans and specifications. The proposed work shall generally include
removal, disposal and replacement of the boiler pumps per manufacturer’s
specifications. Start-up each boiler per manufacturer’s recommendations and perform
system checks to confirm proper operations. Submit all data collected to the
university of Hawaii facilities management office, attention: Carl Oshiro prior to
request for final inspection. All work located at Kahanamoku pool, UHM.

Special Instructions
ALL bidders are requested to attend a mandatory site walk-through. A site walk through is
scheduled for 8:00am on Thursday August 13, 2026. Contractors shall meet at the
Physical Plant Mechanical Engineer Office located at 2002 East- West Road. Contract
documents will be distributed at the mandatory walk through. Contractors interested in
bidding this work must contact Carl Oshiro through email ( coshiro6@hawaii.edu), facsimile
(956-5979) or phone (956-0479) to confirm attendance by 4:00 p.m. Wednesday August 12,
2026. Contractors who DO NOT attend a mandatory site walk-through will not be allowed to
bid on this work. Contractor is required to provide a cost breakdown at time of bid. The
breakdown must equal to the total cost of the bid. If correct breakdown is not provided at
time of bid, the bid may be disqualified.
