Project Description:
African Tulip Tree - Forest: Trim one African Tulip tree located in the forest behind the BMGC back to grade level.

African Tulip Tree - Bananas: Trim one African Tulip tree located near the banana plants in the BMGC back to grade level.

Rusty Prune Tree: Prune the Rusty Prune tree located under the power lines near the BMGC cassava area, reducing its height to between 3 and 5 feet above the ground.

False Cinnamon Tree: Prune and trim all branches of the False Cinnamon tree located outside the BMGC by the fence facing Imiloa, reducing its total height to approximately 5 feet from the ground.

Garden Fence Line: Clear all trees along a approximate 225-foot stretch of the garden fence line down to ground level within a 3-foot buffer zone from the fence. Additionally, trim back all overhanging branches to a minimum clearance of minimum 6 feet away from the fence line.

Special Instructions
Under HRS 103D-310(c), if bid exceeds $2,500, vendors must provide proof of compliance with all laws governing entities doing business in the State of Hawaii. Vendor must be in compliance at time of Award or bid will be rescinded.

#1: Vendor’s current status MUST be listed as “COMPLIANT” by the closing date of the bid and through the issuance of the purchase order.

#2: Award based on total aggregate bid.

#3: Price quotation must include all shipping, handling, disposal, taxes and all other applicable fees. Quotation must be valid for 90 days.

#4: Files attached: Special Provision, Attachment A - Insurance, Wage Certificate, PO- Terms and Conditions, Photos.

#5: Quantity and items may change due to availability of funds.

#6: A Wage Certificate MUST be submitted along with the bid quote.

#7: Upon award vendor must provide Certificate of Liability Insurance.

#8: Vendor must be certified/approved to work on trees under high voltage power lines.

#9: An ISA Certified Arborist is required to be on site during the work.

#10: All work shall be completed within 30-days from date of purchase order issued.

#11: The submittal of a bid shall be considered as acceptance of the specifications as published as well as agreement to the University of Hawaii Terms and Conditions, Applicable to All Purchase Orders.
