Project Description:
Container 1 (left container on drawing attached)
Furnish and Deliver to Leeward Community College one (1) shipping container configured with roll up doors as indicated on the attached drawing. Prepare and paint the exterior of the container dark green, oil based paint (rustoleum or equivalent).
Prepare roof and apply white elastomeric coating sufficiently to waterproof and protect the roof from sun damage.
The roll up doors shall include two locking hasps on each side of the door; the hasps should be attached with bolts and then spot welded to prevent physical break in measures.
The locking hasps should be configured in such a way to use puck locks and padlock.
When attaching the roll up doors, use welded joints (no wood or plastic).
The containers will be set on tofu blocks, ensure the underside of the container has a undercoating to prevent rust.
Source a 45 ft, used high cube container
8 ft rollup door installed on the end opposite the swing door
8 ft rollup door installed on the side of the container on the right sides as you are looking at the containers swing doors.
8 ft rollup door installed on the same side at the 15 ft marker
Interior chain link fence stretching across the container with a chain link man door in the fence.
Eight (8) Unistrut 2941 pre-galvanized post base welded to the roof at the locations listed on the drawing. The post bases are 1 ft from edge and 4 ft apart.
Secure the swing doors from opening by welding a metal bar across the middle of both doors.

Removal of existing 20 ft and 40 ft container: Remove and recycle or reuse 2 containers from the same location as the install of the new containers.

Special Instructions
1. ONLY VENDORS THAT ARE CURRENTLY COMPLIANT WITH HAWAII COMPLIANCE EXPRESS WILL BE CONSIDERED.
2. Bidders must hold a current State of Hawaii business license.
3. Bidders must indicate whether the containers specified in the bid are new or used.
4. Furnish and deliver to Leeward Community College parking lot 3 and set into place in the fenced area adjacent to the cooling towers.
5. All modifications to container must be accomplished with metal/welded parts and accessories. No wood or plastic parts unless specified in the description.
6. Interior of both containers shall be painted a light color (white or tan).
7. Exclusions: Leeward CC will provide the tofu blocks where the container will rest. Leeward CC will provide a forklift to assist in the final placement of the container.
8. Must provide Certificate of Insurance - requirements are attached.
9. Must deliver NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 20, 2026 - NO EXCEPTIONS.
