Project Description:
NURSING PORTABLES LAB SPLIT SYSTEM INSTALLATION
To furnish and install one (1) new Daikin 36,000 BTU split air conditioning system
(or approved equivalent), including all associated materials, equipment, labor,
testing, and commissioning necessary to provide a complete and fully operational
HVAC system. The Contractor shall mount one (1) new Daikin FTXV36AVJU9 36,000 BTU
indoor evaporator unit (or approved equivalent) and one (1) new Daikin RKV36AVJU9
outdoor condensing unit (or approved equivalent) at the Nursing Portables. The
Contractor shall install new refrigerant piping and control wiring between the
indoor and outdoor units in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and
applicable codes.
The Contractor shall coordinate with a licensed electrician to provide and install a
new electrical disconnect for the outdoor condensing unit. Upon completion of the
installation, the Contractor shall pressure test the refrigerant system, evacuate
the system by pulling a vacuum, and charge the system as required for proper
operation. The Contractor shall then start up the new Daikin split system, verify
proper operation of all system components, and monitor system performance to
ensure the equipment is functioning in accordance with the manufacturer\\\\\\\'s
recommended operating parameters.
Price shall include all labor, supervision, materials, refrigerant piping, control
wiring, mounting hardware, electrical coordination, pressure testing, vacuum
evacuation, system startup, operational testing, equipment, tools, transportation,
shipping and handling, travel expenses, cleanup, and all applicable taxes and fees
necessary to complete the project.
If submitting a quote for a product substitute, advance approval is required. The
University may, at its discretion, reject or deny any product offer that it deems
to not be equal, and the findings in this regard shall be final and binding.
NURSING PORTABLES OFFICES #1-5 BARD UNIT COIL REPLACEMENT
The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision
necessary to repair the HVAC system serving Nursing Portable Offices 1-5. Work
shall include replacement of one (1) BARD 5051-163BX condenser coil (or approved
equivalent), replacement of one (1) BARD 5201-022BX filter drier (or approved
equivalent), and blowing out refrigerant lines with nitrogen to remove debris
and ensure proper system operation. Upon completion of the repairs, the Contractor
shall perform testing and verify the HVAC system is operating properly, with all
work areas cleaned and restored to a safe condition.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
• Work may involve temporary shutdown of Nursing Portables electricity and AC.
• All work to be done during normal campus hours: Monday - Friday
from 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time (HST).
• Must be completed, tested, and certified operational within 90 consecutive
calendar days from the date designated in the approved Purchase Order.
• Vendor must properly dispose of project waste off UHMC campus property.
