Project Description:
A. Contractor shall visit the exiting site and verify all existing conditions prior to submitting a bid for this project. Contact Ryan Dixon, CEIII, Department of Environmental Management, Soldi Waste Division, at (808) 961-8296 to make an appointment to visit the existing site.

B. Contractor shall remove two (2) damage 6” galvanized pipe posts, including concrete footings, for overhead sign, stainless steel cable, and sign. The Contractor may dispose of all metal material at the Hilo Transfer Station scrap metal recycling area, according to Solid Waste Division rules and requirements.

C. Contractor shall dispose of the concrete footings at a location within the Hilo Solid Waste Division Complex as directed by the County of Hawai‘i Representative.

D. Contractor shall Install two (2) new 6” galvanized pipe posts, stainless steel cable, and new overhead warning sign, per attached Overhead Barrier Detail, and all appurtenances.

E. All of the County of Hawai‘i Solid Waste Division Operations shall remain open to the public and operations staff during the construction work during regular operational hours for the Hilo Transfer Station, Hilo Reload Station, and Hilo Scale House.
