Vertical Mast Light Tower Specification
1. General Requirements
The portable light tower shall be equipped with a vertical mast capable of extending to a minimum height of 30 feet (9.14 meters). The mast must deploy using an electric winch operation. The unit shall be trailer-mounted and designed for rapid deployment and safe transport. Trailer must also be DOT approved for use on public highways.

2. Lighting
The light tower must include:
• - Four LED fixtures, each providing a minimum of 48,000 lumens.
• - Lighting must remain operational at any mast height and allow for nearly 360- degree rotation.
• - Each fixture must be independently aimable without the use of tools, and must maintain position once aimed.

3. Power System
• - Engine: 3-cylinder, 4-cycle diesel engine compliant with EPA Tier 4 Final standards.
• - Power Output: Minimum engine output of 12 hp (9 kW) at 1800 rpm (60 Hz).
• - Generator: Brushless, four-pole generator with Class H insulation.
• - Frequency: 60 Hz operation.
• - Output: 6 kW or 8 kW, with voltage of 120 VAC.
• - Amperage: 50 A @ 120 V.
• - Voltage Regulation: ±6% from no load to full load.

4. Fuel & Runtime
• - Fuel Tank Capacity: Minimum 30 gallons (114 liters).
• - Runtime with LED fixtures: Minimum of 97 hours before refueling.

5. Physical Characteristics
• - Deployed Footprint: Not to exceed 130 × 112 inches (330 × 285 cm).
• - Travel Height: Maximum 109 inches (276 cm).
• - Operating Weight: Approximately 1990 lb (903 kg).
• - Shipping Weight: Approximately 1740 lb (780 kg).

6. Construction
• - Heavy-duty, all-steel enclosure.
• - Mast must include a dual-pulley system or equivalent for balanced lifting and improved durability.
• - Two outriggers must be provided for stability during operation.
• - Powder-coated or corrosion-resistant finish for extended outdoor use.

7. Additional Features
• - Automated dusk-to-dawn control system.
• - Electric winch lift option.

8. Noise Level
• - Maximum sound level of 71 dB at 23 feet (7 meters) under full load.

2. Quotes submitted must be valid for at least 90 days from the date of quote.

3. Quotes must include all applicable shipping, handling, and taxes.

4. Quotes will only be accepted from authorized retailers or manufacturers of the product offered.

5. Depending on funding availability, the University reserves the right to modify the quantities requested for each line item. Offeror must list each line item price accordingly.

6. Provide itemized pricing by showing the offered price for each line item requested. Please do not submit an offer as a “package”, “lump sum”, “bundle”, or other similar grouping.

7. Do not submit partial offers.

8. Offeror must review and comply with all documents attached to this RFQ for a bid to be considered.

9. Physical items offered must be in brand new condition. Used or like-new condition items will not be accepted.

10. Full term standard manufacturer warranties must be provided for all physical items offered.

11. The University may reject or deny any equivalent or alternate substitution that it may, in its discretion, deem unequal and the findings inthis regard shall be accepted by the offeror as final and binding.

12. Awarded offeror is responsible for furnishing and delivering, and installing all equipment.

13. Awarded offeror must be able to furnish, upon request, the following documents: (1) Certificate of Vendor Compliance issued by Hawaii Compliance Express.

14. Please email any requests for information and it will be responded to via addendum to this original RFQ.
