Special Instructions
All interested bidders are requested to attend a mandatory site walk-through. A site walk through is scheduled for 9:00 Tuesday, July 14, 2026. Contractors shall meet at Bilger Hall at the McCarthy Mall Entrance. Contract documents will be distributed at the site walk through. Contractors interested in bidding for this work must contact Dan Furuya through e-mail, dfuruya@hawaii.edu to confirm attendance by 4:00 pm Monday July 13, 2026. Contractors that do not attend the mandatory site walk through, will not be allowed to bid for this work. All contractors must be a licensed C-52 contractor. Insulation must done by a C-2 licensed company.

Work must be complete within 4 weeks after receiving the Equipment. Equipment must be ordered within 7 days of receipt of PO.

If a correct and reasonable breakdown is not provided at the time of bid, the bidder may be disqualified.

Backflow preventer and PRV shall be changed.

A air separator on the CHWS shall be installed between the chiller and the penetration into the building. The air separator shall be insulated and clad with stainless steel.

Bid date shall be extended to 7/24/26 at 4:00pm.
