Project Description:
(Qty11) - Monthly garbage service August 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. Supply and maintain a 6 cubic yard dumpster. Provide front end loader service/garbage collection 3 times per week.

Special Instructions
*Delivery of the 6 cubic yard dumpster can be on Friday July 31,2026 or Saturday August 1,2026 with the first pick up on Monday August 3, 2026.

*Any job site evaluation shall be by appointment only and completed by 3:00 pm on June 19, 2026. Contact Bill Johnson at (808)440-9022 to schedule an appointment.

*Bids MUST BE ALL-INCLUSIVE, including but not limited to all costs for materials, taxes, fees, shipping, handling, and delivery.

*Quotes shall be valid for 90 days from the close date of this RFQ.

*Should the bidder require any of the followings, their bid may be disqualified. (A) Taking exception to any of the specifications, terms and conditions contained in the RFQ; (B) Placing conditions on the furnishing of the items offered; (C) Inclusion of a quotation or order form containing additional specifications, terms and conditions: (D) Referencing external documents containing additional specifications, terms and conditions; (E) The University reserves the rights on any possible exemptions to be based on technical merits of pre-existing conditions.

*Under section 103D-310 (c), Hawaii Revised Statutes, all offerors, upon award of contract, must ensure compliance with all laws governing entities doing business in the State of Hawaii. Offerors will be expected to provide their “Certificate of Vendor Compliance” identifying their status as “COMPLIANT” on Hawaii Compliance Express: hppt://vendor.ehawaii.gov, once contract is awarded.

*Vendors must provide a copy of their Certificate of Insurance with the appropriate coverage(s) at the time award is made as well as fill in and sign the Caterer/Vendor/Exhibitor/Third Party Entity Agreement. (see attached)

*Vendors must agree to the University of Hawaii Terms and Conditions for purchase orders as part of this bid (Attached); failure to agree and/or provide separate terms and conditions may warrant disqualification. *Trash collection for eleven (11) months (Start date: August 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027).

*Provide all necessary bins, equipment, labor, and transportation for proper disposal of all trash.

*Provide and maintain one (1) 6-cubic yard bin.

*Pickup schedule shall be as follows: The six (6) cubic yard bin will be picked up on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of each week by 8:00 am is preferred, however, alternate days and times will be considered.

*Please provide monthly pricing including extra yardage and extra pickup

*Contractor shall have a sufficient inventory of containers so that replacement containers will be available in the event that the container is removed for repairs or any other reason.

*The container provided by the Contractor shall be properly maintained by the Contractor at all times. Maintenance shall include, but not be limited to: painting for good appearance, repairing of damages for safety and prevention of leakage or escape of refuse placed in the container, periodic clean-up of interior and exterior of container by washing or scraping in order to keep the containers clean, sanitary, and free from offensive residual odors.

*The only printing which may appear on the containers shall serve to identify the ownership of the containers and identify containers as refuse receptacles. Any printing appearing on the containers shall be discreet in appearance. Containers shall not contain any advertising.

*The containers shall remain the exclusive property of the contractor.
