Project Description:
Replace condenser coil on condenser unit #ACCU 2-2-B due to refrigerant leak. Work to include the following:
- Shut down system and make safe for work. Recover refrigerant as necessary.
- Disasseble condenser and gain access to coild for replacement.
- Remove old coil and dispose off site per EPA regulations. Mount new coil into condenser.
-Verify no leaks on system, start up and check for proper operation.

Special Instructions
Location of service will be at the Hawaii Community College-Palamanui Campus located at 73-4255 Ane Keohokalole Highway in Kailua-Kona above Keahole Airport.

Hawaii Community College-Palamanui has around the clock 24 hour campus security to ensure that there will be a person on campus when services are performed.

Bid to include costs for equipment, material, supplies, labor and taxes. Source of funds will be based on available funding.

The Hawaii General Excise Tax (GET) shall not exceed 4.712% for Hawaii Island. The GET is not applied to shipping or delivery charges.

All requisitioner inquiries to the bidders shall be answered within 24 hours. If inquiries are not answered within 24 hours, the requisitioner reserves the right to award the next lowest bidder.

Upon award of the request for quotation, the winning bidder must be able to provide a Certificate of Vendor Compliance (under HRS 103-310, for purchase of $2,500 or more, the University of Hawaii must verify vendor compliance with all laws governing entities doing business in the State of Hawaii). Should the bidder require any of the following, their bid may be disqualified. (1) Taking exception to any of the specifications, terms, or conditions contained in the RFQ or UH Purchase Order. (2) Inclusion of a quotation or order form containing additional specifications, terms, or conditions.

Purchaser reserves the right to reduce or delete specific items to maintain budget limits. Contractor must arrange a site visit with Rachel Louis at (808)969-8847 to obtain all field information required to complete the work. Contractors shall fully understand the scope of work prior to submission of a bid as to the existing conditions and limitation s under which the work is to be performed. Vendors that do not arrange and complete a site visit will not be considered.

Vendor must be a licensed contractor with current professional vocational licensing certificate.

Certificate of Insurance required for all repair work over $2,500. Instructions provided in the attached document.

Construction Related

Purchases exceeding $2,000 shall comply with Chapter 104, HRS Wages and Hours of Employees on Public Works.

Quote must be good for minimum of 60 days due anticipated delays in processing any awards due to end of year fiscal system shutdown.
