Project Description:
Provide all labor necessary to replace the cagewash plume exhaust fans. The proposed work shall generally include, but not limited to replacing the two exhaust fans, isolation and bypass dampers, and associated controls and starters. Refer to the mechanical section for detailed description of work. All wok is located at the BioMedical Sciences Building, University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Special Instructions
All bidders are requested to attend a mandatory site walk through. A site walk through is scheduled for 9:00 am on June 3, 2026. Contractors shall meet at the BioMedical Bldg. contractor loading zone located at the Mauka side of the building. Contract documents will be distributed at the site walk through. Contractors interested in bidding for this work, must contact Alton Fujimoto by email altonf@hawaii.edu, or phone at 808 864-4161 to confirm attendance by 4:00 pm June 2, 2026. Contractors that do not attend a mandatory site walk through, will not be allowed to bid on this work.

06/05/26
1) Confirming that 4ea. disconnect switches, two at the fans, and two before the starter panel are to be replaced.
2) Confirming that all crane lifts shall be scheduled for weekend work.
