Project Description:
Provide all labor necessary to check the chemical chemistry and provide the proper
chemicals for the boilers and adjust it as indicated in the plans and specification.
The proposed work shall generally include to check the chemistry of the chemicals and
provide the proper chemicals for the boilers and provide the necessary chemicals per
manufacturer\'s specification. Perform system checks to confirm proper chemistry.
Submit all data to the university of Hawaii facilities management office, attention:
Carl Oshiro prior to request for final inspection. All work is located at various
mechanical rooms on the university campus, UHM. Maintenance contract will be monthly
for 1-year (12 consecutive months).

Special Instructions
All bidders are requested to attend a mandatory site walk-through. A site walk through is
scheduled for 8:00 a.m. Tuesday May 5, 2026, 2026. Contractors shall meet at the Physical
Plant Building Mechanical Engineer Office located at 2002 East -West Road. Contractors
interested in bidding the work must contact Carl Oshiro through email
(coshiro6@hawaii.edu), facsimile (956-5979) or by phone (956-0479) to confirm attendance
by 4:00 p.m. on Monday May 4, 2026. Contractors who DO NOT attend a mandatory walk-
through will not be allowed to bid on this work. Contract documents will be distributed at
the mandatory walk- through. Contractor is recommended to bring the maintenance technician
who will be performing/supervising the actual maintenance work to the site walk-through to
assure proper understanding of the universitie\'s requirements of the work. Contractor is
required to provide a cost breakdown at time of bid. The breakdown must equal to the total
cost of the bid. If correct breakdown is not provided at time of bid, the bid may be
disqualified. Maintenance contract will be for Monthly for 12 consecutive months beginning
as early as of June 1, 2026.
