Award shall be based on the total aggregate for all items. Quote must be valid for 90 days, including applicable taxes, fees, freight, delivery, assembly, installations, disposal of any packing materials, and any other applicable charges in order to be considered for award.

Under HRS 103D-310(c), vendors MUST provide proof of compliance with all laws governing entities doing business in the State of Hawaii.

Note: Vendors current status MUST be listed as COMPLIANT by the closing date of the bid and through the issuance of the purchase order.

Vendor (preferably based on the island of Oahu in the state of Hawaii) must be able to provide service and support within 48 hours of request for warranty service or repair. Vendor must be authorized dealer for furniture. Direct from the manufacturer only. Once awarded, a Certificate of Liability Insurance is required.

Mandatory Site Visit and Verification of Conditions:
All prospective bidders shall conduct a site visit at the project location prior to the submission of a bid. The site visit is required for the purpose of verifying existing conditions and obtaining accurate measurements necessary to determine the type, dimensions, and configuration of furniture that may be furnished under this solicitation. The bidder shall be solely responsible for ensuring that all proposed furnishings are compatible with the actual site conditions. Failure to conduct a site visit may result in the bid being determined non-responsive. Additional Notes:
The intent of this project is to create a warm and inviting place to gather for studying, eating, and relaxing with friends. We would like the pieces and materials to reflect this inviting feel, as well as allow for the broad view planes to remain open. The palette of colors and materials should reflect the colors and feel of architectural detail/materials and permanent artworks in the lobby areas. We have considered deep blues and cool greens as the primary tones, with accents of muted warm green, golden ochre, rusty red, or warm brown distributed throughout the groupings. Tables should have a wooden/laminate surface that reflects the wood tones used throughout the lobby, including the carved wooden bench and frames; a variety of well-matched tones can be used. Wooden legs are preferred wherever possible, and a matte black finish on any exposed metal wherever it is necessary is preferred.
