Project Description:
- (New) 7 or 8 passenger vehicle (preferably 8 passenger if available
- Vehicle Color = “White” (preferred)
- Automatic transmission
- Electric (EV) if the vehicle is 1/2 ton or light duty in carrying capacity weight
- Gas if the vehicle is 3/4 ton or more in carrying capacity weight

Special Instructions
Bid price should include tax, freight, handling, shipping to Oahu, HI.
Do not include vehicle registration, license plate, and decals in your total bid cost.

Bid remains valid for 90 days. Vehicle must be delivered by January 1, 2026 or by negotiated date with the Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology (HIMB) and the awarded Bidder.

Vehicle must meet the following minimum requirements below:
- Must be a 7 or 8 passenger vehicle (preferably 8-passenger if available)
- If the vehicle is 1/2 ton or light duty carrying capacity weight, then the vehicle will need to be All Electric (EV)
- If the vehicle is 3/4 ton or more in carrying capacity weight, then it does not need to be electric
- Automatic transmission
- Minimum of 4 doors
- Vehicle Color = “White” (preferred)
- The Quote must indicate the carrying capacity
- The Quote must indicate the fuel type (whether it is fully Electric (EV) or Gas)
- Vendor must have a valid State of Hawaii tax compliance certificate
- You may submit multiple quotes if you have multiple vehicles that meet these requirements above

Subject to prior approval if making any substitutions. Request for substitutions must be sent to Laule\\\'a Blanco, Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology (HIMB), Admin & Fiscal Support Specialist at Lblanco@hawaii.edu, no later than December 12, 2025. Award of bid is contingent on receiving approval from University of Hawaii Fleet Services and HIMB Administration. Award shall be contingent upon availability of funds, and any contract awarded shall be subject to cancellation by Research Corporation of the University of Hawaii for the benefit of HIMB at any time, if funds are not available.

RCUH also has the right to cancel the solicitation before the contract is awarded on behalf of the University of Hawaii, Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology (HIMB).

Addendum
If there are no 7 or 8 passenger vehicles available that can ship to Oahu, Hawaii, we will accept quotes for a 3/4 ton 12-passenger van, but it will still need to meet the requirements listed in the “Special Instructions” section (e.g., vehicle color is preferably “White”, automatic transmission, etc.)

Currently, there is no preference for 2WD or 4WD; however, please list this on your quote(s), especially if you are submitting multiple Quotes/Bids.
