Project Description:
Scope of work for tree trimming/removal at 847 Dillingham Blvd.
1) Trim or remove all trees per the attached arborist’s report throughout
the facility and parking lots with the exception of the Building 8805 Courtyard.
2) Provide all labor, materials and equipment.
3) Price must include the hauling of rubbish and debris generated by
trimming/removal.
4) Work period is 12/20/25 - 01/11/26.
5) Trim all trees on adjacent properties that hang over into Hon CC property.
All interested parties may tour the site at 847 Dillingham Blvd on Friday 11/14/25 at 8:00
AM. Attendance confirmation is required.
6) Provide a certified arborist to supervise the trimming and/or removal of all trees.
7) A C-27 License is required.

Special Instructions
All interested parties may view the sites at 874 Dillingham Blvd, 879 N. King St. and 445
Kokea Street on Friday 11/14/25 at 8:00 AM. Walkthrough to start at 874 Dillingham. Please email
David Tanaka @ dmtanaka@hawaii.edu. to confirm attendance. Attendance confirmation
is required. Fees must include all applicable taxes. Price must include the
hauling of rubbish and the sweeping of debris generated by tree trimming/removal.
Vendor must meet specification listed in the description. Quote must be valid for 90
days. Services to be provided within 24 hours of notification by Honolulu Community
College. Bidders must bid on all items.
Vendor receiving the award is required to provide the following documentation before
the purchase order is issued. Note: Do not purchase any materials until approved
purchase order is provided.
(1) Hawaii Compliance Express Certificate of Vendor Compliance. Please note that the
University of Hawaii must verify vendor compliance with all laws governing entities doing
business in the state, regardless of the method of payments
used. The “Certificate of Vendor Compliance” is required of all vendors including those
based outside of the State of Hawaii. The Hawaii Compliance Express online
service will monitor the status of IRS and Hawaii Department of Taxation compliance.
You may register on their website for an annual fee. Certificate will be issued in 10
business days for completion of registration.
(2) Certificate of Insurance. UH Executive Policy EP 8.200 Appendix 2 and a sample COI are
attached.
(3) Signed Superquote Award Notice If quote is $2500.00 or more.
(4) Arborist certification
(5) C-27 License
(6) Performance and Payment Bond, if bid exceeds $50,000.00
