Project Description:
To Perform a One-Time Testing, Inspection, and Maintenance Service for (9) Edwards & (1) FCI Fire Alarm Control Panels, Detection Systems, and Associated Devices at the University of Hawaii Maui College, Kahului campus.

All services shall be performed in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal codes, including the standards set forth by National Fire Protection Association NFPA-72: National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code. Work must be carried out by certified fire detection and alarm inspection technicians. Contractor must be an authorized distributor/dealer & factory trained technician to service the equipment.

Services shall include, but are not limited to:

a) Testing
b) Inspection
c) Cleaning
d) Calibration
e) System Adjustments as needed
f) Lubrication
g) Verification of all wiring connections
h) Battery removal and replacement
i) Verification of power source connections
j) General fire system safety checks

The scope of work shall include the inspection, testing, and maintenance of all Associated Devices connected to the Fire Alarm and Detection Systems.

Associated Devices include, but are not limited to:
a) Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP)
b) Annunicators and Remote Annunciators
c) Notification Appliance Circuits (NAC) and NAC Extenders
d) Displays
e) Smoke Detectors
f) Duct Detectors
g) Heat Detectors
h) Pull stations
i) Horns
j) Horn-Strobes
k) Strobe Lights
l) Alarms
m) Pre-Action Devices
n) Emergency Exit signs
o) Remote Power Supplies

Contractors are strongly encouraged to conduct a site visit to evaluate the Fire Alarm and Detection Systems and verify the quantity and location of all associated devices.

Completion of Project: Project shall be completed within 30 consecutive calendar days from the date designated in the approved Purchase Order.

2. Quote shall include all material and non-material costs, labor costs, equipment costs, transportation costs, vehicle costs, air freight costs, shipping costs, supply costs, insurance premiums, rental costs and all applicable taxes to complete the services specified in this request.

3. License Requirement: C15 or C15A or C20

4. Vendor receiving the award is required to provide the following documentation before a purchase order is issued.

(a) Current and Valid Contractor License C15 or C15A or C20
(b) Certificate of Liability Insurance
(c) Certificate of Vendor Compliance in Compliant Status
(d) Wage Certificate HRS 103-55 (if applicable)

6. SITE VISIT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: A site visit will be held on October 10, 2025. Please meet David Tamanaha at the Operations & Maintenance Building at 9:00 a.m. The initial inspection is to identify the Fire Alarm and Detection System and verify the quantity and location of all associated devices and to be aware or satisfied as to the character and amount of work to be performed as called for by the specifications. 7.
