Project Description:
Approximately 675 feet of 1348 hog wire fencing (Fence Fabric: 1348 hog wire).
2 = One strand of 14-gauge Bezinal barbed wire - 675 feet
All required hardware, post caps, and installation components. Including:
Corner & Brace Posts: 2-3/8” Schedule 40 steel pipe.
Horizontal Brace Members: 1-5/8” Schedule 40 pipe.
T-Posts: 6’6” USA-grade T-posts, installed every 10 feet.

All labor required for complete installation.

Special Instructions
This project entails the complete installation of perimeter fencing around a 1-acre parcel located within the Maku\'u Hawaiian Homelands Association area. The fencing will serve to secure and extend the designated planting area. The total length of the fence will be approximately 675 linear feet, utilizing 1348 hog wire fencing with 14-gauge Bezinal barbed wire strands installed at both the top and bottom of the fence line.

The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to install a complete perimeter fence according to the specifications provided below and as outlined by the Maku\'u Hawaiian Homelands Association.

Fencing installation will include:
Complete fencing along all four sides of the 1-acre parcel.
Approximately 675 feet of 1348 hog wire fencing (Fence Fabric: 1348 hog wire). Two strands of 14-gauge Bezinal barbed wire - one at the top and one at the bottom of the fence.
All required hardware, post caps, and installation components.

Fencing Specifications:
Top & Bottom Wire: 14-gauge Bezinal barbed wire (1 strand each). Corner & Brace Posts: 2-3/8aEUR Schedule 40 steel pipe. Horizontal Brace Members: 1-5/8aEUR Schedule 40 pipe. T-Posts: 6aEURtm6aEUR USA-grade T-posts, installed every 10 feet. Miscellaneous: All required hardware and post caps included. Wire will be tensioned and taut.

General Requirements:
Installation must comply with all guidelines and standards as set forth by the Maku\'u Hawaiian Homelands Association.
Contractor is responsible for confirming measurements and verifying all site conditions prior to installation.
All materials used must meet industry and project quality standards.

Project Duration:
The project is expected to be completed within seven (7) business days from the agreed-upon start date, which shall be determined in coordination between the contractor and Maku\'u Hawaiian Homelands Association and will not be later than December 19, 2025.

All vendors must provide a valid Certificate of Insurance naming the University of Hawai‘i as an additional insured. Vendors are also responsible for submitting any additional documentation or insurance coverage necessary to comply with all applicable University of Hawai‘i procurement policies and requirements.
Bidders may submit alternative models or configurations that meet or exceed the required specifications within the budget.
