Project Description: Please submit a quotation for arborist services to cut & drop all trees within the subject work area, shown on aerial view map attached, of State parcel identified as TMK: (3) 2-4-012:010, and clean-up any debris from previously felled tree on complainant’s property, located at 706 W. Kawailani St. situated at Waiakea Homesteads, South Hilo, Hawaii. Please see SCOPE OF WORK below, and Supplemental Attachments for more details (also on HIePRO). If you would like to conduct a site visit separate from the date of the pre-bid conference and need access from an adjacent property, please contact owner or resident to get consent.

Please submit your fee quote by 4:30 pm, Friday, October 3, 2025, to qualify as a prospective bidder for this project.

Arborist certification, vendor compliance, and liability insurance will be required from the successful bidder prior to commencement of work activities.

• Cut and drop all trees and brush vegetation as low to the ground as possible, within subject work area (creating a buffer ~60ft. from private property border), as shown on aerial view map attached) of parcel identified as TMK: (3)2-4-012:010.

▪︎ Poison tree stumps and entire subject work area to deter future growth.

▪︎ Clean-up any debris from complainant property due to previously felled tree from subject State property. Debris from felled tree and from trees and other vegetation on subject State property shall be placed on the subject State property at least 10 feet away from any private property borders.

▪︎ Flatten all debris as low to the ground as possible.

▪︎ Submit photos of work completed within seven (7) days from when scheduled work is completed.

The awarded vendor may only start work upon notice from HDLO staff.
