Project Description: The general description of work covers the reroofing of Biological Sciences Building, Central Plant/ Ancillary Building, and the Medical Education Building. The demolition of existing membrane and standing seam roofing systems down to the structural deck, followed by prepping existing roof deck and substrate to receive installation of new membrane and standing seam roofs. The scope includes hazardous material (HAZMAT) removal in compliance with safety regulations, replacement of damaged steel decking, repair concrete deck, and associated masonry and concrete work such as spall repairs. Work also includes plumbing work to replace existing roof drains with new roof drains, fall protection, flashing for all penetrations and replacement of damaged roof top components as indicated on drawings. Dean’s Lanai scope replace water proofing membrane, light fixtures, concrete repair, replacing roof and overflow drains. Additional tasks include structural, mechanical, electrical, painting, flashing work. Mechanical equipment replacement and adjustments, and other miscellaneous construction work necessary to complete the roofing system replacement and miscellaneous related work.
