Scope of Work
The University of Hawaii College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR) Various Sites Septic System project consists of decommissioning of an existing cesspool and installation of new Individual Wastewater System (IWS) at the CTAHR Mealani Research Station in Kamuela, Hawaii. Scope of work includes selective demolition, cesspool closure in compliance with Department of Health (DOH) regulations, soil sampling to assess contaminants in site soils, earthwork, septic system installation (septic tank and leach field chambers), plumbing, and miscellaneous related work.

Pre-Bid Site Visit
Contractors may site visit, via appointment scheduled with Tenchnical Representative, Matt Arakaki via email at mmarakak@hawaii.edu. All appointments must be scheduled a minimum of 48 hours.

Clarifications
The deadline to submit request for clarification on the requirements of this Request for Quotation is 4:00 p.m. (HST) on May 27, 2025. All clarification requests shall be submitted via email to the Technical Representative of the Procurement Officer, Matt Arakaki at mmarakak@hawaii.edu. Requests after this day and time will not be considered.

Substitutions
Requests for substitutions regarding the RFQ and its requirements, must be submitted to the Technical Representative of the Procurement Officer, Matt Arakaki, Office of Project Delivery, 2002 East-West Road, Room 102, Honolulu, Hawaii, or e-mailed to mmarakak@hawaii.edu, no later than 4:00 p.m. (HST) on May 27, 2025. Requests after this day and time will not be considered.
