Project Description: The purpose of this RFP 25-09-PI is to solicit proposals from Hawaiʻi-based licensed contractors registered to do business in the State, that have experience with the locating, loading, hauling, and proper disposing of green waste in Hawaiʻi, Maui and Kauaʻi Counties. Refer to the Objectives and Measurable Outcomes section of the RFP for the specific requests for each county. Priority will be given to eligible contractors that have experience with locating, loading, hauling, and proper disposing of green waste. Landscape experience in the county will be considered in the evaluation of the proposals. To achieve this goal, the HDOA announces the availability of approximately $600,000 in general funds for these Biosecurity Projects. There will be up to three awards, one for each county. Proposals are encouraged from eligible Hawaiʻi-based licensed contractors registered to do business in the State, with experience to perform the locating, loading, hauling, and proper disposing of green waste. Offerors may submit a separate proposal for each county where they have a presence and perform work. GREENWASTE2025 will consider proposals with clear objectives, measurable outcomes that support achieving the objectives, and a process/method of data collection to show the measurable outcomes were met.
